These Soul Houses \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\udfe5 are usually found in or near Middle Kingdom burials. These clay models ensured that the deceased \ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udff1 had access to shelter and food \ud80c\uddec\ud80c\udc01\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfe5 in the afterlife \ud80c\uddfc\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude50. They are thought to take the place of offering tables &#8211; since offering tables were usually for the wealthy, the Soul House \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\udfe4 was a more affordable option for people.<br><br>I have always been a person who likes tiny things, and the Soul Houses are no exception!
