Malqata is located near Thebes \ud80c\udf00\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude96 in Upper Egypt \ud80c\uddd3 on the West Bank of the Nile \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\ude17\ud80c\ude18\ud80c\ude07\ud80c\udffa. The duck and various forms of vegetation create a relaxing ambience!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Believe it or not, this beautiful \ud80c\udd24\ud80c\udd91\ud80c\udc8b piece of art actually was part of the decoration on the floor in one of the rooms of the palace \ud80c\udc9d\ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude65\ud80c\ude50! I love how the blue \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udc79\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udff8\ud80c\udfe5, green \ud80c\uddc5\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udd93\ud80c\udfdb, gold \ud80c\udede\ud80c\udcc9\ud80c\udcc9\ud80c\udcc9 and cream colors complement each other and make a relaxing ambience. Plus, I think ducks \ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\udca7\ud80c\udd6d\ud80c\udfea are adorable and I love how this duck \ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\udca7\ud80c\udd6d is just hanging out amongst the flowers \ud80c\uddbc\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\uddb0\ud80c\udfe6\/papyrus \ud80c\uddc5\ud80c\uddb0 and other vegetation \ud80c\uddc6\ud80c\uddb0\ud80c\udfe5!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to celebrate his Heb Sed Festival \ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\udef4\ud80c\udca7\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udfb1\ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udfea, the pharaoh \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b Amenhotep III \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udc67\ud80c\udfa0 built a new palace \ud80c\udc9d\ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude65\ud80c\ude50 which was referred to as \u201cThe House of Rejoicing\u201d at present day Malqata in Egypt \ud80c\udd8e\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude96. The Heb Sed Festival \ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\udef4\ud80c\udca7\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udfb1\ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udfea, also known as the \u201c30 Year Jubilee,\u201d was meant to celebrate the 30th year of a pharaoh\u2019s \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b reign \ud80c\udefe\ud80c\ude0e\ud80c\udfcf. The construction started during year 11 \ud80c\udf86\ud80c\udffa of his reign, and Amenhotep III \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udc67\ud80c\udfa0 made Malqata his primary residence by year 29 \ud80c\udf86\ud80c\udf86\ud80d\udc00\ud80c\udffa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malqata was abandoned by Akhenaten \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udd5c\ud80d\udc0d\ud80c\ude16 when he succeeded his father. Many archaeologists speculate that many of the artists \ud80c\udf4d\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udfed\ud80c\udc01 and craftsmen that worked at Malqata also worked in the Amarna \ud80c\ude0c\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude50\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\ude96 workshops because similar floor-art has also been found at Amarna \ud80c\ude0c\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude50\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\ude96.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">This is my personal photograph and original text.
