The Souls \ud80c\udc93\ud80c\udc93\ud80c\udc93 of Pe \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\ude96 and Nekhen \ud80c\ude94\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\ude96 symbolized the predynastic rulers of Egypt \ud80c\udd8e\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude96. The Souls \ud80c\udc93\ud80c\udc93\ud80c\udc93 of Pe \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\ude96 and Nekhen \ud80c\ude94\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\ude96 were thought of as very powerful deities \ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\udeb9 that not only aided the deceased \ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udff1 pharaohs \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b\ud80c\udfe5, but also the current living \ud80c\udda3\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\udc00\ud80c\udfea pharaoh \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nekhen \ud80c\ude94\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\ude96 and Pe \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\ude96 were both cities in Egypt \ud80c\udd8e\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude96 and were around as early as the predynastic period.&nbsp; Nekhen \ud80c\ude94\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\ude96 was originally the cult center for the god \ud80c\udeb9 Horus in Upper Egypt \ud80c\uddd3, however, Pe a town in Lower Egypt \ud80c\udda4, was awarded to Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d by Ra \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udffa\ud80c\udc5b after his eye was injured during his battle with Seth \ud80c\ude83\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd21\ud80c\udc63 for the throne of Egypt \ud80c\udd8e\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude96.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this particular statue \ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc3e, Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d\/Soul of Pe \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\ude96 is shown in a characteristic kneeling position with one arm raised, with the other resting on his chest. This is known as a \u201cjubilation position,\u201d which is meant to show the Soul of Pe \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\ude96 celebrating the rising of the sun \ud80c\udd84\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\uddf6. The Soul of Pe \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\ude96 is usually represented as Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d the Falcon \ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfa1\ud80c\udd44, while the Soul of Nekhen \ud80c\ude94\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\ude96 is usually represented as a jackal \ud80c\ude83\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\udce5.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">This is my personal photograph and original text.
