One of Horus\u2019 \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d many roles was as a mythological representation of the pharaoh \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b\/heir to the throne of Egypt \ud80c\udd8e\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude96. A Uraeus \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udc9d\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd97 is usually depicted as an upright snake \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udc9d\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd99 and is a symbol of sovereignty, royalty, and divine authority in Egypt \ud80c\udd8e\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude96 &#8211; all characteristics usually associated with the pharaoh \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b, and also the god \ud80c\udeb9 Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d was also a sky \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\uddef god \ud80c\udeb9. Horus\u2019 \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d name \ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\ude16 means \u201cThe Distant One,\u201d due to him residing in the sky \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\uddef!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d was the son \ud80c\udd6d of Isis \ud80c\udea8\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd87 and Osiris \ud80c\udc79\ud80c\udea8\ud80c\udc2d and will often be introduced in inscriptions \ud80c\udfdf\ud80c\udfdb\ud80c\udfe5 as such!
