The Heb Sed Festival \ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\udef4\ud80c\udca7\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udfb1\ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udfea, also known as the \u201c30 Year Jubilee,\u201d was meant to celebrate the 30th year of a pharaoh\u2019s \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b reign \ud80c\udefe\ud80c\ude0e\ud80c\udfcf.  In this display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, there are many different amphoras \ud80c\udfe0\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfcb\ud80c\udfea! Amphoras \ud80c\udfe0\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfcb\ud80c\udfea are a special type of pottery \ud80c\udfe0\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfcb that have a pointed bottom and two \ud80c\udffb handles that were used for the storage and transport of various things in the ancient world!  Ancient Egyptian amphoras \ud80c\udfe0\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfcb\ud80c\udfea, such as these one found at Malqata, were usually made of red \ud80c\udca7\ud80c\ude19\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\udd5f clay \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\udef4\ud80c\ude07 and then covered with a cream colored coat. They were then painted \ud80c\udfde\ud80c\udfdc with blue \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udc79\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udff8\ud80c\udfe5, red \ud80c\udca7\ud80c\ude19\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\udd5f, or black \ud80c\udd8e\ud80c\udd53 paint \ud80c\udde8\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udfed\ud80c\udff8\ud80c\udfe6. You can also see various wall paintings that once adorned the palace \ud80c\udc9d\ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude65\ud80c\ude50 walls at Malqata!
