I love this statue \ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc3e of Imhotep \ud80c\uddcd\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udeb5\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udeaa so much &#8211; look at those ears! It\u2019s so cute!! Imhotep \ud80c\uddcd\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udeb5\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udeaa is always depicted as a scribe \ud80c\udfdf\ud80c\udc00 sitting with a papyrus roll \ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udf51\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udfdb across his lap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though Imhotep \ud80c\uddcd\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udeb5\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udeaa lived during the 3rd Dynasty, most of his statues \ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc3e\ud80c\udfea are dated to the Ptolemaic Period, which is when Imhotep \ud80c\uddcd\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udeb5\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udeaa was widely worshipped \ud80c\uddfc\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udc22 as a god \ud80c\udeb9, especially by the Greeks. Imhotep \ud80c\uddcd\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udeb5\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udeaa was one of the few non-royal Egyptians to be deified.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name \ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\ude16 Imhotep \ud80c\uddcd\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udeb5\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udeaa actually translates to \u201cHe Who Comes in Peace.\u201d Let\u2019s break down the name \ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\ude16 to see what each of the hieroglyphs \ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\udf03\ud80c\udfea mean!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud80c\uddcd &#8211; Come, Arrive, Return<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud80c\udd53 &#8211; Who Is\/Who Is In<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud80c\udeb5\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udeaa &#8211; Peace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I love translating the names of ancient Egyptian people!
