The ushabtis \ud80c\uddb7\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udf6f\ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udfee\ud80c\udc3e served as substitutes for the deceased \ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udff1 and would perform labor or jobs for them in the afterlife \ud80c\uddfc\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude50.  2. Ushabtis are usually inscribed with specific spells \ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udc93\ud80c\udfdb\ud80c\udfe6 which assigned each ushabti \ud80c\uddb7\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udf6f\ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udfee\ud80c\udc3e to a certain task! The most popular one is the \u201cShabti Spell.\u201d  3. Ushabtis can be made of many different types of materials such as faience \ud80c\udee3\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udff8\ud80c\udffc, wood \ud80c\uddb1\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udffa, clay \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\udef4\ud80c\ude07, limestone \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\ude19\ud80c\udf09 and rarely even bronze \ud80c\ude14\ud80c\udfe4\ud80c\ude12\ud80c\udfe6!  4.
