A sphinx \ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udced is a mythical creature that has the body of a lion \ud80c\udf33\ud80c\udc79\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udd1b and the head of a human. In ancient Egypt \ud80c\udd8e\ud80c\udd53\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\ude96, lions \ud80c\udf33\ud80c\udc79\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udd1b\ud80c\udfea have been associated with kingship \ud80c\uddd3\ud80c\uddcc since prehistoric times due to their strength \ud80c\udf00 and ferocity. It should be \u201c\ud80c\udfd9\ud80c\udef9\u201d not \u201c\ud80c\udef9\ud80c\udfd9\u201d as it\u2019s written (this inscription is read from right to left, because that\u2019s the way the directional symbols are pointing).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">There\u2019s also an added \ud80c\udfcf, which makes it the feminine form! There\u2019s a second sphinx \ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udced\ud80c\udfe4 just like this one in the Cairo Museum, and on that sphinx \ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udced\ud80c\udfe4, there is no added \ud80c\udfcf! Why would one sphinx \ud80c\udf9b\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udced\ud80c\udfe4 use the feminine form and one use the masculine?!
