To review: a title is a phrase that appears before a cartouche, which is the oval that encloses the name \ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\ude16 of a pharaoh \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b in inscriptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The meaning of \u201cLord of Appearances \ud80c\udf9f\ud80c\ude0d\ud80c\udfe5\u201d seems to be the one that can confuse people the most and the meaning can kind of be a little subtle\/abstract. I always took it to mean that when the pharaoh \ud80c\ude50\ud80c\ude7b arrived or appeared somewhere it was a BIG DEAL; basically a god \ud80c\udeb9 showed up! Since the pharaoh was a god \ud80c\udeb9 on Earth\ud80c\uddfe\ud80c\uddfe, his\/her arrival needed a whole title to mention it!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Let\u2019s break down the title:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">\ud80c\udf9f &#8211; Lord&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">\ud80c\ude0d\ud80c\udfe5 &#8211; Appearances<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The hieroglyph \ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\udf03 for \u201cappear \ud80c\ude0d\u201d is the sun \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udfe4 rising over the horizon, which is to signify Ra\u2019s \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udffa\ud80c\udc5b daily journey across the sky \ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\uddef. The addition of the three strokes \ud80c\udfe5 makes the word plural, hence why it is translated as \u201cappearances\u201d instead of just \u201cappear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">This is my personal photograph and original text.
