The phrase \u201cGod\u2019s Booth \ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\ude71\u201d is associated with the god Anubis \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udce3 and appears as an epithet to his name when it appears in the very common \u201cOffering Formula \ud80c\uddd3\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udeb5\ud80c\udfd9\u201d which appears on various types of funerary equipment throughout Egyptian history. The God\u2019s Booth \ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\ude71 is a shrine specifically for Anubis \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\ude16\ud80c\udeaa\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udce3! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201ccloth on a pole \ud80c\udeb9\u201c hieroglyph is an ideogram for the word god. \ud80c\udeb9 is also a triliteral phonogram, and represents the letters \u201cntr\u201d which may have been pronounced like \u201cneter.\u201d \ud80c\udeb9 Is also a determinative for \u201cgod.\u201d So the \u201ccloth on a pole \ud80c\udeb9\u201c symbol can function as all three types of hieroglyphs \ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\udf03\ud80c\udfea. If you see this symbol, you are most likely looking at a word that has to do with the gods \ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\udeb9!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
