One of the reasons I like this piece so much is that it has retained its colors through time! While the museum description says the god \ud80c\udeb9 is Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d, I question that because of the sun disc \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udfe4 appearing on the falcon \ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfa1\ud80c\udd44 head. Usually, Ra \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udffa\ud80c\udc5b will appear as a falcon \ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udfa1\ud80c\udd44 head wearing a sun disc \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udfe4. Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d is usually depicted wearing the crown of Upper Egypt \ud80c\uded1, Lower Egypt \ud80c\uded4, or both \ud80c\uded6 (most common).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, since this is a later time period, this could be the god \ud80c\udeb9 Ra-Horakhty \ud80c\udd4a\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfe4, who is a combination of Ra \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udffa\ud80c\udc5b and Horus \ud80c\udd43\ud80c\udc2d into a single deity. I believe this is a depiction of Ra-Horakhty \ud80c\udd4a\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfe4 because of the sun-disc \ud80c\uddf3\ud80c\udfe4 crown that has a Uraeus \ud80c\uddcb\ud80c\udc9d\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udd97 at the front, along with the fact that Ra-Horakhty \ud80c\udd4a\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfe4 is holding a flail \ud80c\udf05 and scepter \ud80c\udf00, which is another common way to depict him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main reason why I think this is a depiction of Ra-Horakhty \ud80c\udd4a\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfe4? The hieroglyphs \ud80c\udeb9\ud80c\udf03\ud80c\udfea! Ra-Horakhty\u2019s \ud80c\udd4a\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfe4 name \ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\ude16 appears right above him on the stela \ud80c\udf97\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udd93\ud80c\ude78!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know that Ihefy is worshipping \ud80c\uddfc\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udc22 Ra-Horakhty \ud80c\udd4a\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfd4\ud80c\udfe4 because his arms are in the raised position!
