On a random note, the Vizier Paser \ud80c\udd6e\ud80c\udc19\ud80c\udc3d has his own large stela \ud80c\udf97\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udd93\ud80c\ude78 in the British Museum (which I have written about in previous posts) but a smaller stela \ud80c\udf97\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udd93\ud80c\ude78 was also found during the excavation of his tomb \ud80c\uddcb\ud80d\udc2b\ud80c\ude83\ud80c\ude50. I was so excited to see the name \ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\ude16 Paser \ud80c\udd6e\ud80c\udc19 in the Petrie Museum when I was there with my Nonno because my Nonno\u2019s favorite non-royal was vizier \ud80c\udd77\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udffa\ud80c\udc00 Paser \ud80c\udd6e\ud80c\udc19\ud80c\udc3d! That excitement ended when I saw the date of the piece and realized that these were not for \u201cTHE\u201d Paser \ud80c\udd6e\ud80c\udc19\ud80c\udc3d and we\u2019re just for another man \ud80c\ude83\ud80c\udc00\ud80c\udfe4 with the same name \ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\ude16 \ud83d\ude02.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s read some hieroglyphs! What\u2019s great about this stela \ud80c\udf97\ud80c\udd71\ud80c\udd93\ud80c\ude78 is thatall the people are labeled with a \u201ccaption\u201d above them so they can be identified. The man \ud80c\ude83\ud80c\udc00\ud80c\udfe4 in the middle is Paser \ud80c\udd6e\ud80c\udc19 and on either side of him is a woman \ud80c\ude83\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc91\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc50. Both women have the same name \ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\ude16 &#8211; Mery \ud80c\udf3b\ud80c\uddcc. The word \u201cmery\u201d in Middle Egyptian means \u201cbeloved,\u201d and can also be written like this: \ud80c\udf3b\ud80c\udc8b\ud80c\uddcc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The woman \ud80c\ude83\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc91\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc50 that is sitting with Paser \ud80c\udd6e\ud80c\udc19 on the lion legged chair is his wife \ud80c\udc91\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc50, while the woman \ud80c\ude83\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc91\ud80c\udfcf\ud80c\udc50 standing at the offering table \ud80c\udc9d\ud80c\udcc0\ud80c\udd61\ud80c\udd3f\ud80c\udec3 with the lotus flower \ud80c\uddb8 is their daughter \ud80d\udc0d\ud80c\uddcc\ud80c\udc15.
